Location: Corner of Rowntree St and Darling St Balmain
Name: ‘Hot Pink in Balmain Apartments’
Description of pre-design condition of interior/building:
An empty Building Heritage retail on street level with 6 floors above to design.
I choose floor 5 and I created 3 apartments, a wow factor.
Client brief/client requirements: The client is an overseas developer to engage a local Australian designer.
Concept
My concept for this project is ship in the bottle and pink oceans (in Western Australia), and reflection on a cloudy day.
The special feature is the apartments are pink with a Nordic colour palette with curtain walls and a panelled wooden ceiling sustainable materials such as wood.
